Finding your own holy grail products can be quite the process, albeit a fun one. Personally, I’m still searching for more of my personal favourites, but I’m going to share with you two of my favourite products that I consider to be my cult classics.
This is definitely one of the pricier products I own. Gosh I love Hourglass, but they’re not that budget friendly!
I actually bought this from Mecca a while ago, just so I could get free shipping (do you ever do that? I do it all the time). And let me tell you, I am so glad I got it. I am not into brow products that much, but I think this product converted me. It’s like a brow powder, pencil, and wax all combined into one. AND it comes with a handy spoolie brush on the other end. Brows need filling-in? Need to brush them out? Need to set them? This definitely has you covered.
I picked this up a few months ago during one of my occasional impulsive wanders into Mecca Maxima. The Orgasm blush is a long-time favourite for many makeup lovers out there, so I thought I’d try it out for myself. I think this duo product is a great idea, as I get to try out two products in one. As it turns out, this iconic duo became one of my all-time favourites.
BLUSH – Orgasm
NARS describes this blush as a peachy pink with a golden shimmer. Now when it comes to blushes, I prefer a light, buildable formula. For me, there’s nothing worse than getting stuck into a blush and realising that it’s way more pigmented than it needs to be. Blush is extremely easy to overdo.
This blush ticks all the right boxes. The shade of pink is not too strong for my skin tone, it has a beautiful glow to it, and most of all – it’s completely buildable. I’m definitely going to have to purchase the full-sized one.
BLUSH/HIGHLIGHT – Hot Sand
This is actually branded as a blush, but I don’t think anyone has ever used this as a blush (I could be wrong). This is probably the best highlighter I own. It’s a beautiful peachy champagne shade that gives you a beautiful summer glow.
It’s not quite as sheer as the Orgasm blush, but at the same time it’s not a blinding highlight. If you’re into the kind of highlight that you can see from outer space, this will be good for you – but it will require some building up.
So, that’s only a few of my makeup favourites. While I continue to work on my everyday glam look post, I’ll keep on sharing some of my newfound cult classics.
